APC is opening its Makati campus to students for the morning of 14 November. Thank you, APC, for making room for the next batch of web builders.
Start with a hello.
Leave with a website.
A short intro, then a full hour building your own site with helpers at every table. Hear how people make a living on the web, and leave with people you can message after.
- 7:30 Check-in, name tags and kape
- 8:30 Welcome, and what WordPress Manila is
- 9:00 What is WordPress? An intro to the open web
- 9:40 Build your first WordPress site Hands-on
- 10:55 Careers panel: people who do it for a living
- 11:40 Contributing to WordPress and open source
- 12:10 Open forum with the speakers
- 12:30 Raffle, group photo and goodbyes
Draft schedule. Times may shift a little as speakers confirm.
What you leave with
WordPress runs more than 40% of the web. One Saturday morning is enough to start making your part of it.
- A site that’s yours. You build it during the workshop, with a helper close by when you get stuck.
- A map of WordPress careers. Developers, designers, marketers, support specialists and freelancers talk about the work they actually do.
- A way into open source. See how students contribute code, translations, design and docs to WordPress itself.
- People to message after. Mentors and members of WordPress Manila, plus a certificate of participation.

May kape pa
May tropa ka dito.
WordPress Philippines has eight official meetup chapters, more than 5,000 members on Meetup and over 12,000 in its Facebook group. In 2025 the community helped bring WordCamp Asia to Manila.
Campus Connect is how we meet the next batch. The organizers, speakers and helpers on 14 November are working developers, designers and marketers from WordPress Manila, and they’re happy to answer questions long after the event.
We’re looking
for sponsors.
Campus Connect Manila is free for every student who walks in, and we want to keep it that way. Local sponsors help us make the morning count for the students in the room.
If your company, agency or product works with WordPress, this is a way to back the people who’ll be building the web next. Angelle Marie Garcia leads sponsorships on the organizing team.
There’s room for a beginner.
Registration opens soon, right here on this site. It’s free and open to students and professionals. Questions before then? The organizers will get back to you.
